All Merry High Reunion 2004
I finally decided to come back to a high school reunion. This one attracted me because it was for all graduates of Merry High School in Jackson, TN. Merry High was the only high school for black students until 1970. I graduated in 1970.
My hometown, Jackson, TN, looked really good. Beautiful mature trees, manageable size, and all the conveniences one really needs. I was ready to leave the crowds, traffic, complications, and high cost of living in a large metropolitan area such as L.A. I had not been back since the summer of 1974...30 years! It was time. Why not come back home?
